RIFLE CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
-
Use a bore cleaner and copper remover. We use Bore Tech Bore Eliminator and Copper remover.
-
Use a one piece carbon rod like Tipton or Dewey
-
Use a nylon brush, a jag fit for you caliber, a bore guide and patches fit for your caliber
-
Using the nylon brush, coat it with bore eliminator and run about 20 strokes back and forth in the barrel.
-
Run dry patches down the barrel with the jag until they come out perfectly clean. You don’t want anymore black or blue streaks showing on the patch.
-
Repeat steps 4 & 5 with the copper remover solution. Remember to use patches and or cue tips to clean the muzzle brake off when finished.
-
We also use the chamber cleaning kit from Bore Tech and will use Brake Cleaner on large dry patches to clean out the chamber and the lug areas. They sell an attachment that fits perfectly in your chamber/lug area.
